Hybrid adhesive technology was introduced by contour in 2013 after a 3-year development and testing phase. Hybrid is the first adhesive technology that is made up of two different layers. The adhesive layer holds the skin reliably but easily detachably to the ski base, the adhesive layer underneath creates a permanent connection to the back of the skin.

Glue maintenance to prevent snow creep between the skin and the ski
Dirt and wax residues on the adhesive layer impairs the adhesion to the ski base. Depending on the adhesive technology, there are different ways to get your skin working again.

What to do if adhesion decreases?
Re-activating hybrid adhesive
Re-activating hybrid adhesive
No annoying re-gluing: The adhesion of the hybrid adhesive layer can be easily reactivated with the included cleaning wipes or cleaning spray.
Important: the adhesion will decrease due to contamination by dust or poorly brushed-out wax residues from the ski base.

Re-glueing with transfer tape: If the adhesion decreases (approximately every 2-3 years), the adhesive can be completely renewed by ironing on a fresh layer.
Important: old, dirty adhesive residues must be removed with hot air and a spatula.

Always wipe the ski base before putting on the skins; a fleece insert is integrated into the pack sack for this purpose.
After waxing the skis, brush and polish off any wax residue very thoroughly.
Cover film and stuff sack can protect against contamination.

Always store hotmelt skins in a dry place and protected from light, heat and dust.
Use the protective film or net when folding the skin – this way the skins can be separated again with ease.
